Lancia Delta Integrale Evo2 – The Perfect Build

Can a car be so good that it deserves a second feature? Well, since you’re reading this, I’ll take that as a yes. 😉

I first came across this Lancia Delta Integrale Evo2 Formula Edition at Ultrace last year, and it stopped me in my tracks. The deep Blue Lord paint, the aggressive stance, and the Work Meister S1 wheels imported all the way from Japan. The trend of JDM wheels on Euro cars continues. It was love at first sight.

For many, poster cars are machines like the Ferrari F40 or a Lamborghini Countach. But for me? This was the car. The history, the WRC dominance, the countless special editions—everything about the Delta Integrale makes it a legend in its own right.

Fast forward to Risenation Hall of Fame, and there it was again. Just as striking, just as perfect. This car has an irresistible presence, one that draws people in like a magnet. Every detail just works.

The owner has rebuilt the car from the ground up, stripping it down and restoring it with as many NOS (New Old Stock) parts as possible. The body was resprayed in its original “Blue Lord” color, while many of the underbody components have been powder-coated. One detail that stands out is the differential protector, finished in light blue, a subtle touch. Here you can also see a glipse of the custom made diffusor.

Suspension-wise, this Delta is something special. It sits on a KW Competition kit, apparantly one of only five ever made for the Integrale, combined with a custom Gepfeffert HLS system to achieve that perfect stance.

Then we get to the wheels. As mentioned earlier, they’re a rare set of Work Meister S1s, spec’d at 17x9J up front and 17x10J at the rear. A 25mm spacer up front was needed to accommodate a custom Porsche brake setup, while 7.5mm spacers at the rear ensure everything sits just right. Wrapped around them? A set of Toyo Proxes, sized 215/40/17 at the front and 245/35/17 at the rear.

Step inside, and everything remains just as Lancia intended—save for one key addition. A removable roll cage, seamlessly integrated into the cabin. And then there’s the pièce de résistance: the plaque confirming this is an Evo2 Formula Edition. But look a little closer, and you’ll spot a signature on the dashboard.

Only true rally fans will recognize it, so let me save you the guesswork. That signature belongs to Massimo “Miki” Biasion, Italian rally legend and two-time World Rally Champion. I guess it his sign of approval of this car.

A legendary car, built to absolute perfection, with the blessing of a rally icon. What more could you want?
