The Nürburgring car park is full of modified BMWs, but every now and then a pair stands out for getting the details exactly right. During a recent visit, these two cars, an BMW E46 M3 and an BMW E92 M3, caught my attention not because of their horsepower figures or lap times, but because of their stance, wheels and Floßmann bodywork.

What makes both cars so good looking is the balance between wheel and bodywork selection. Neither feels overdone. The BBS Motorsport-inspired wheels suit the race-bred character of the E46’s GTR-style body, while the TE37 setup perfectly complements the cleaner, contemporary lines of the E92’s GT-Street treatment.

The yellow E92 M3 is wearing a full Floßmann GT-Street bodykit. The wider arches add an extra layer of aggression without compromising the car’s original lines. The bodywork is complemented by Volk Racing TE37 wheels, a choice that has become a favourite among track-focused enthusiasts for good reason. The simple six-spoke design proves that yet again the TE37 looks good on anything. To finish the look the owner opted for a big wing. This would not look out of place at a stance show but seeing it here at the track shows you that even full-on track cars can look good.

A few rows away sat this equally striking green BMW E46 M3 perfectly capturing the aggressive motorsport aesthetic that has made Floßmann’s designs so popular among BMW enthusiasts. The vented GTR bodywork transforms the standard M3 silhouette into something that looks ready for the track. Sculpted arches and functional vents give the car an unmistakable presence, while a set of BBS Motorsport RE1598 wheels completes the look. The classic multi-spoke design sits naturally within the widened bodywork, creating a package that feels more endurance racer than modified road car.
