Gallery: Risenation Hall of Fame 2026

Risenation marks the unofficial start for my show season. It’s always the first taste of what the rest of the year might bring. This year was no different. Bag packed, snacks secured, I punched Mechelen, Belgium into Google Maps, fired up the car, and set off. Two and a half hours later, the Nekkerhal appeared like a giant half tube with holes in it. If you have ever been there you know what I mean.

Before I even think about taking the camera out, I make a few reconnaissance laps. This year, however, the organisers decided to funnel everyone through a vendor corridor at the entrance. Great for anyone selling stickers, detailing sprays, or T‑shirts you don’t need… but less great if you simply wanted to get on with the show. Still, minor grumble aside, the rest was brilliant. Familiar faces, new conversations, and cars that made you stop mid‑stride, this show had the full package.

Ultrace 2024: A First Timer’s Journey

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect since this was my first time at Ultrace. But one thing is certain: it far exceeded my expectations. Late Thursday night, I set off from the Netherlands, heading towards Wrocław, Poland, the home of Ultrace since its inception. After a nine-hour drive, I arrived on Friday, and, unable to check into my hotel just yet, I went straight to the event at the Tarczyński Arena Wrocław.

Finding a parking spot, I headed to the press registration center. Luckily, the good folks from Revworks were there to guide me in the right direction. With my press pass and camera in hand, I stepped onto the grounds, and what I saw blew me away. I was literally overwhelmed, spending the first hour just gaping at everything that was already in place.

Friday is the day when the last cars are positioned, and the organizers put the finishing touches on everything. The event officially opens at noon on Saturday, so Friday offered a perfect opportunity to acclimate, especially with temperatures soaring above 30 degrees Celsius.

LB-Super Silhouette RX-7 at Essen Motor Show

One of the greatest designs from the madlab that is Liberty Walk. Making a Rx7 look like a JGTC car is no small feat especially on a road car. But this kit just flows so well with the original body lines. A special mention needs to go to the livery designers at Blackfish Graphics, they nailed the design.

More on this car in a later post.

Liberty Walk Honda NSX by Tofugarage

The first European built Liberty Walk Honda NSX. The guys at Tofugarage in Germany managed to snag the first kit from Liberty Walk Europe. The kit includes a front diffuser, side diffuser, rear diffuser, rear wing and wider fender in the front and back. The fenders can barely hold the custom 3SDM 3 piece wheels in 18″. A custom paint job in white metallic finishes the job.
